Risk assessment is the core aspect of the qualification. The successful learners of the NEBOSH General certificate with structured study and practical workplace knowledge can:

The course participants are recommended to have appropriate English language knowledge to understand the course concepts of the syllabus.

The assessment of the NEBOSH General Certificate is done in a two-step process:

IG 1 : An open book examination (OBE) conducted online and includes a closing interview

IG 2 : A practical workplace-based risk assessment

Learners of the NEBOSH General Certificate have to pass both assessments to achieve the qualification.

The two-hour written exam for Unit IG1 of the NEBOSH qualification has now been permanently replaced by the open book exam. Learners can now appear for both the NEBOSH exams from the comfort of their place.

The International General Certificate requires a total of 68 taught hours and 40 hours of self-study.
