W.G. Grace, known as the “Father of Cricket,” had a pioneering career from 1865 to 1908 and played at Kenley Cricket Club.

The Kenley CC’s 1st XI team secured 3rd place in 2016, while the 2nd XI team achieved first place for three consecutive years from 2016 to 2018.

Teams and Competitions

Kenley CC fields several teams in different divisions of the Surrey Championship and other local leagues:

  • 1st XI: The premier team competing at the highest level within the club’s structure.
  • 2nd XI: A secondary team that competes in lower divisions, crucial for player development and serving as a backup for the 1st XI.

  • Junior Teams: Various age-group teams participate in youth leagues, fostering young talent.

GWG’s support is invaluable, especially as we dedicate countless hours to developing cricketing skills among the youth.
